February Events in Brantford

World Nutella Day:

World Nutella Day was first established by American Blogger Sara Rosso on February 5th, 2007. Lovers of Nutella came from all over the world to celebrate the holiday. It spread so much that it was transferred to Ferraro in 2015 in order to help it live on!

Brantford is home to one of the Ferraro facilities making it the perfect place to celebrate it. Join in the festivities at the Wayne Gretzky Centre and enjoy free pancakes with Nutella, public skate and swim, prize draws, face painting and more! World Nutella Day will be hosted in Brantford at the Wayne Gretzky Centre on February 5 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Frosty Fest:

Frost yourself this February with one of Brantford’s anchor annual events, Frosty Fest. Gather with thousands on Family Day weekend and enjoy some of the many activities including; professional ice carving, horse-drawn trolley rides, ball hockey, figure skating shows, midway, snow slide, pony rides and more! If you’re in need of a warm-up, the warm-zone is located in the Market Square Mall with even more activities.

Frosty Fest runs from February 17 – February 18 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Harmony Square, located in Downtown Brantford.

Chilli Willy Cook-Off

The Chilly Willy Cook-Off is entering its 12th consecutive year as local restaurants prepare to battle for the number one spot. The event will be held in Downtown Brantford, in Harmony Square on February 24 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Tickets are available for purchase at the event at a cost of $5.00 per person. After ticket purchase, you will receive a reusable chili bowl; spoon and a voting pass to cast your votes.

Don’t forget to bring your warm clothes and ice skates for some outdoor fun on the ice rink in Harmony Square. Relax, sample some chili, enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate and listen to live entertainment. All proceeds raised will go toward future programming at Harmony Square in downtown Brantford.
